I love Chinese people so much.
They are honestly so funny. We have a member named Emily and she has a non-member Chinese friend, her last name is Pang, or Doctor Pang. And we go over some old testament stories with her. And at the end of the lesson Doctor Pang was saying the closing prayer in English, and shes 2 minutes in. (And Emily isn't fluent in English, and apparently she didn't know that Doctor Pang was saying a prayer.) And Doctor Pang goes: "Blessa Emily that she--" And Emily innocently says: "yeAhhh?" And for some reason all 3 of us Missionaries just couldn't stop laughing. ThAnkfuLLy we were on muTe! But it was a good lesson. We went over the first few chapters of Job with them. The story of Job is honestly amazing. Helaman 5:12 coincides perfectly with Job: And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall. I received an additional calling in the Mandarin church, Clerk assistant. I'm in charge of membership records/financial stuff Pretty cool! Our friend Piller is learning more and more about the gospel. We're teaching him the basics. He says his wife isn't that interested in learning gospel stuff. But he sure is. I hope his family gets involved. There is no coincidence that we met him. He needs the Gospel which is the good news. That's bout all! P.S. yeah I know I missed 2 weeks of writing. Lazy. Dun care. Pics of my fam, comps, Mission Pres. and his wife, and exotic places. And more of my comps.
