When they said "a Marvelous Work" they didn't specify how much of it was actually yardwork

Hi Everybody!

I know I always say this but not a whole bunch happened this week (yes for real this time). We ended up doing a lot of yardwork and service for members and such, which is enjoyable, just not a lot to write home about. Blessing were had though, or at least will be had soon.

We also have been meeting with a member named Melvin who is really cool, he's coming back to church and looooooooves missionaries. He played volleyball with us on Friday for a ward activity. Super cool guy, says he wants to be our personal trainer.

Okay, quick Spiritual thought:

Study. It's important. But why? Why do we learn things? What's the godly importance of that?

As it turns out, it's actually REALLY important. The Glory of God is intelligence, light and truth. God sent us here to learn for ourselves what he wanted us to do, what the difference is between right and wrong, good and evil. To educate ourselves, especially in the gospel, is one our most important missions here to help ourselves and others come closer to Christ. As it says in D&C 88:118:

And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith.

This week, I invite you to learn something! Doesn't matter what, as long as you know it can help you bring other closer to Christ. I'm interested to hear what it is you learn! And we're always learning, so this should be easy haha.

Okay, that's all for tonight! Love you all so much, have a blessed week!
